About Sheryl Page
Sheryl is a total Taranakian and more importantly a total Waitarian. She grew up on a farm in Brixton going to school at Waitara Central and then on to Waitara High School. On leaving school Sheryl took up a job at the
Waitara Branch of The Bank of New Zealand where she worked for six years until she started her family. Sheryl and David have a strong belief in one parent being home with the children (if possible) so while Marnie and Spencer grew up she did part time work, fitting it around school hours. These were Motel cleaning and relieving
and home help work through Plunket/Karitane and six years as caretaker at Waitara East School. Before taking up her career in Real Estate Sheryl spent six months back at the Bank of New Zealand on a part time basis. Sheryl also spent a considerable amount of time on Home and School and Plunket committees over the years. This year Sheryl is President of the Waitara Rotary club.
Sheryl joined Harcourts in 1990 working from the Fitzroy Office servicing the Waitara area. In August 1990 the Waitara Office was opened with Trevor Hooker as Manager. When Sheryl
completed her Branch Managers papers Trevor moved back to New Plymouth Office and Sheryl took over the Waitara Branch and was instrumental in the expansion of the office and the creation of a Property Management Division, which is administered by
her daughter Marnie Page. Her Husband David has now joined her in the office and manages the administration. Sheryl places great importance on
the servicing of valued
clients, and to this end has appointed a Personal Assistant.
Sheryl attained the full qualification to licensee level as distinguished by
the letters AREINZ (Associate of the Real Estate Institute of NZ.) and has to her credit over 100 million dollars in settled sales. Sheryl is proud to be a part of the Harcourts Team, which now spans 22 years.
In January 1996 Sheryl was also given the honour of being appointed a Justice of the Peace of New Zealand and is also a Marriage Celebrant.
Sheryl and David realised in 2005 why they had children! The Arrival of their first grandchild Finn that year was a delight and in 2008 Lily arrived, double delight! Both grandchildren love spending time with their grandparents
and of course being cousins they love spending time together. Needless to say the grandparents love having them both. Holidays away with the families are great times, not to be missed. Sheryl still enjoys her career with
Harcourts and is not ready to retire yet!
